my daughter is 5 and has had cholesteatoma 4 neraly 2 years well so we think anywway.she had her first operation last year which took 5 and half hours they had 2 remove bones and rebulid her eardrum and 6 months later the doctors said she would need a follow up operation 2 check 2 c if it has cum bk.well the doctors never sent 4 her so here we r now a year later and my daughter has it again but twice as bad as the cholestaetoma has destroyed her new eardrum.im findin it very difficult with her because of school and the smell of her ear has any1 got any ideas of how 2 try and disguise the smell??or can any1 tell me how they get on wiv sendin their children 2 school wiv cholsteatoma??thanx

Go and see your doc. The smell means it is infected. You need to ear drops to clear it up.

we have tried ear drops and nothin works the doctors are always checkin 4 infection but always say that it isnt infected.
