Hx: repeated ear infection as a child throughout young adult. At age 60 with only the symptoms of pain, ,I had a large pearl sized  c-toma ( and filled mastoid space)  with removed two years ago by a 2 hour surgery and  a widened ear canal so that in the future no further mastoid surgery would be required. I have to visit every 6 to 8 months to get my ear checked and cleaned to prevent infections, imflamation etc. Each visit I get nystgmus when the area is probed, and really get dizzy and nauseated that lasts hours. Anyone else experience this?it's been 2 years and I need another check as after a bad and conjested head cold months ago my ear feels itchy at times and not normal. So if this post is a repeat.
